  2. Uedit knows about the following files and may look for them:

  4.     Data!  NoName.info  Key-Help  Config!  Help!  Learned-Sequences
  5.  
  6. Here is the path information you need for each of these:
  7.  
  8. Data!:
  9.     If you simply run UE or UES, Uedit will look first in the Current Dir
  10.     and, if not there, then in S: for the Data! file.  You can override
  11.     this, by typing (in CLI)
  12.         Run UES -dMyDir/MyData
  13.  
  14. NoName.info:
  15.     If you have selected "Make icons", Uedit will create an icon when you
  16.     save the file to disk.  It looks in S: for NoName.info, to use it to
  17.     make make an icon for your file.  If NoName.info is not in S:, no icon
  18.     will be created.

  20. Key-Help:
  21.     Key-Help is only used when you use Teach Mode.  Uedit will look only
  22.     in the S: for Key-Help, unless you have renamed <S:Key-Help> to
  23.     <MyDir/MyKeyHelp> in your config's defaults and recompiled the
  24.     defaults.

  26. Config!:
  27.     If you simply run UE or UES, Uedit will look first in the Current Dir
  28.     and, if not there, then in S: for the Config! file.  You can override
  29.     this, however, by typing (in CLI)
  30.          Run UE -cMyDir/MyConfig

  32.     Note that Config! actually consists of several segments (M,P,R,S) and
  33.     may consist of up 26 segments (A-Z) in addition to the root segment.
  34.     Also, Config! is not needed, unless Uedit can't find Data! or you use
  35.     the "-c" flag.

  37. Help!:
  38.     The help facility is controlled completely by a command in the Config!
  39.     file or in whatever custom config you are using.  Uedit's standard
  40.     config looks first in the Current Dir and then in S: for the Help!
  41.     file.  Custom configs can use any help-filename and any directory to
  42.     contain it.

  44. Learn Sequences:
  45.     When you save a learned sequence, you are asked to specify a name for
  46.     it.  It is saved under the myDir/myLearnName that you specify.

  48.     When you load a learned sequence, you must give the directory/filename
  49.     where it can be found.
